Accommodations are in three satellite buildings designed to blend in with the surroundings - they look, from the outside, just like the houses of the surrounding villages. Inside the rooms (four per building) are paneled in pine wood, each with an attached shower and toilet. Hot water is provided by gas geysers which can be temperamental - if you have difficulty getting hot water just let the friendly staff know and they will fix it for you. Most are double rooms with two single beds. Some rooms, in the higher building, have an additional room with double bed and attached shower/toilet. This is reached by an internal staircase from the lower room. These rooms are ideal for families. All of the beds are provided with warm duvets - welcome in the cool Nagarkot nights.
There is a central reception/dining area with an outside terrace. It is here that meals are served. The menu offers largely Nepali cuisine, with some continental options. All of the vegetables and herbs are organically grown in the hotel's own garden - ask for a tour if interested. Breakfast is usually served on the terrace (weather permitting) which offers superb panoramic views of the Himalayas, including Mt. Everest.
The resort offers a selection of health treatments, including massage, meditation and yoga classes and can arrange for guests to meet a local shaman if desired. They can also offer guide walks in the surrounding hills and forests. The best place to stay in Nagarkot.
