Himalayas are divided into four parts and out of them, Nepal is one of it. In Nepal himalayas, we have 13 Himalayan ranges. Himalayan ranges are simply the collection of peaks which is separated by big rivers. Nagarkot is one of the best places in Nepal from where we can have the broadest views of the himalayas with 8 ranges out of 13 can be clearly seen.


    Views from the Nagarkot view tower. It is a nice walk to the tower from the main market which is 4 kms uphill walk where you can enjoy the nature beauty with valley views as well with verdant valleys and lush greenery.


On the way to Nagarkot, you can see the rich tamang heritage villages with their social milieu where they still continue the traditional agriculture.

Hiking from Nagarkot to Changu Narayan temple - UNESCO World Heritage Site Temple

Nagarkot to Changu Narayan Temple Hiking Trail This hiking route is one of the most popular hiking route around the kathmandu valley. It is a very beautiful hike to see both culture+nature. The first part of the trail passes through the traditional mountain villages, terraced farmlands with local settlements and the another half way passes through the pine forests with occassional valley views on the south side before the temple premises of Changu Narayan, one of the 7 World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu valley. It is a 15 kms walk (4 hr) with an altitude drop of around 450 metres and we arrive in a Changu Narayan temple.
